Pat Atkinson endorses Trent Wotherspoon

February 21, 2018

Today NDP leadership candidate Trent Wotherspoon welcomed the endorsement of former MLA for Saskatoon Nutana and cabinet minister Pat Atkinson.

“Having had the opportunity to serve with Trent in the Legislature and having watched him over the years, there is no doubt that his work ethic is second to none,” said Atkinson. “I saw how he worked before the last election to build the best team of candidates our party has ever put before the general electorate.  When he was out across the province, he was talking to men and women about running for us and we had a highly accomplished and diverse team of people representing us in the 2016 campaign.  He never quits, he knows how to work with his caucus colleagues, and he has what it takes to get the job done.”

“Pat Atkinson is a legend in our party, and has given so much to our province through service as an MLA and as a cabinet minister,” said Wotherspoon. “She has dedicated herself as a tireless organizer for our party and our movement, and she understands the hard work and determination that goes into winning government and delivering for people. It’s an incredible honour to earn the support of Pat – the longest serving woman MLA in the history of our province.”
