Today NDP leadership candidate Trent Wotherspoon received endorsements from Sweetgrass First Nation Chief Lori Whitecalf and lawyer and former NDP candidate for The Battlefords Rob Feist.

“Trent’s vision for the future of Saskatchewan is truly inclusive and recognizes all residents of the province,” said Whitecalf. “I’m supporting him as the next leader of the NDP because Trent knows that our province will never reach its full potential until we can make meaningful progress on reconciliation and all Saskatchewan people can succeed together.”

"Trent has been an exceptional builder in our party, and a strong supporter of the Battlefords and west-central Saskatchewan," said Feist. "He combines in-depth public policy knowledge with the ability to speak candidly to Saskatchewan people: two qualities that I trust will bring us to government in 2020."

“I’m honoured and thrilled to receive the support from these strong leaders from the Battlefords region,” said Wotherspoon. “I have so much respect for the leadership of Chief Lori Whitecalf and Rob Feist’s dedication and service to his community and province. I’m very thankful to have their support as we work to build a province that works for everyone.”
