Wotherspoon welcomes the endorsements of Malik Umar Draz and Jesse Todd

Today NDP leadership candidate Trent Wotherspoon welcomed endorsements from United Steelworkers Local 2014 president and Saskatchewan USW Taxi Workers' Council chair Malik Umar Draz and former Saskatoon Eastview candidate Jesse Todd.

“Trent is the kind of leader that can inspire people and bring them together,” said Draz. “Trent has what it takes to lead our party to win in 2020 and deliver for people as premier. I’m proud to be a part of his team and work as his Saskatoon Campaign Coordinator.”

"I first met Trent when advocating for a province wide asbestos registry to protect workers and it’s where I first saw his commitment to building a province that works for everyone," said Todd. "From the very first time I met Trent at the legislature, he was welcoming, supportive, and a strong advocate for a registry. Whether it’s fighting to pass stronger protections for workers, or standing up to the Sask. Party’s cuts and the sell-off of our Crowns, Trent has shown that he has what it takes to defeat the Sask. Party so we can win in 2020 and deliver for people."
