Keith Goulet endorses Trent Wotherspoon

December 13, 2017

Today NDP leadership candidate Trent Wotherspoon welcomed the endorsement of former Cumberland MLA and cabinet minister Keith Goulet.

“We need a strong action plan to work with First Nations, Métis, Northerners and the people of this province,” said Goulet. “Trent Wotherspoon's experience, leadership skills, knowledge, and commitment will provide a new direction for our party. I am proud to endorse Trent Wotherspoon as the next NDP premier of Saskatchewan.”

“It’s a tremendous honour to earn the endorsement of Keith Goulet,” said Wotherspoon. “Keith served for years as an exceptional MLA and cabinet minister, as a passionate leader for the North, for Indigenous peoples, and for education. Without a doubt, Keith has built up the province he loves and bettered the lives of many.”

Goulet was the first Métis person to serve as a cabinet minister in Saskatchewan.

Wotherspoon also has the support of current MLAs for the Northern constituencies of Cumberland and Athabasca, Doyle Vermette and Buckley Belanger.
